Jeremy Enochs Takes 2014 NW-RSN Truck Series Championship

Well well Nuffers…. Thanks to an awesome partnership between Race Sim Nation (RSN) and NuffWORLD (NW), the Truck Series returned after a 3 year hiatus!! First and Foremost.. we gotta give it up to Dwayne Hall.. one of the main men over at RSN and leaders of a team of Track Gurus in their leadership and hard… I mean… VERY hard work in getting the trucks in the sim so we can get back out there.

NOW… after suffering an early setback… which cost him a race and potentially ruining his chance at a Truck Series Championship, Jeremy Enochs recovered with a vengeance…. Winning FIVE races in the 2014 series… along with 16… countem… 16 TOP FIVES over 21 starts to WIN the 2014 RSN-NW Truck Series Championship !!! Nice Job Jeremy!!!

It was not easy for Jeremy…. As Rob Partridge won SIX races himself… including 2 of the final 3
races of the season… and only finished 12 points behind Jeremy for Runner-Up honors!! Rob had 18 Top Fives during the season himself!!

Finishing 3rd.. along with TWO wins and steady performances throughout the year… setting records at Dover in quals… and at Phoenix in race… was Chuck Garcia!!

John Richards had FOUR wins over 18 starts to take fourth place while Jerry Hinkle rounded off the TOP FIVE in the final standings!!

With 3 Races to go after Jeremy’s dominating win at Martinsville… and entering the WinStar World Casino 350 at Texas… Jeremy held a 14 point lead over RPartridge. Rob took the WinStar 500 in dominating fashion.. leading all but 10 laps as the race only had 2 cautions!! Rob picked up 6 points in that race with Jeremy finishing 3rd… to narrow Jeremy’s lead in the standings to 8 points!! Then we headed to Phoenix for the Lucas Oil 150… where Rob did the trick again… winning back-to-back races for the 2nd time of the season and picking up another 3 points on Jeremy… who again… finished with a strong 3rd place while gaining a much needed bonus point for leading the most laps at Phoenix. SO… we entered the final race of the season… the Ford Eco Boost 200 at Homestead… with Jeremy sporting a narrow 5 point lead over a surging Partridge !!! By the way… that race at Phoenix…. How bout only 1 caution over the 150 lap race… WOWOW !!!

At Homestead… RPartridge took the Pole… making this even more interesting as Rob showed he was ready to snatch the Championship from Jeremy with a third straight win and hopes that Jeremy would finish outside the TOP 3. The race went green from lap one to lap 100!!! During that awesome stretch.. Jeremy was the man… leading the most laps at that point!! And with just 34 laps to go.. with that Bonus Point… Jeremy just needed to stay around the top three just in case Pole Winner Rob had a late charge for another win. A late caution at lap 126 bunched the field together again… in when the dust settled at the finish line… it was John Richards taking the checkered flag… and Jeremy comfortably took 2nd place … just .254 seconds behind the winner… while Jerry Hinkle.. Dwayne Hall.. and newcomer Floyd Broadley rounded off the TOP FIVE. Rob ended up finishing 8th… to settle for that 2nd place finish in the final standings !!! Man… GREAT run by Rob and an even GREATER Performance by Jeremy to hold him off !!

And so the first Truck season after 3 years is in the books !!!

New records were set throughout the year at pretty much every stop!!

Thanks to ALL The Nuffers who came out to race in the Truck Series…
another special thanks to RSN for assisting NW in handling the series… and once again…
